Dr. Mohamed Mraja is the Dean, School of Arts & Social Sciences, Bomet University College (BUC). He is a DAAD alumnus who obtained his PhD in Islamic studies from the Albert Ludwigs University, Freiburg, Germany. Charles W. Recha is a climatologist with research interests in climate variability, seasonal climate forecasts, soil water conservation, livelihoods, and socio-cultural contexts of climate change. He is a Senior Lecturer of Geography and Head of Quality Assurance and Data Management at Bomet University College, Kenya. Prior to this, Dr. Recha was a lecturer (2011-2021), Director of International Linkages and Career Services (2019-2021) and Chairperson Geography Department (2014-2019) at Egerton University, Kenya. Florence Muteheli Anyonje is a Lecturer of Kiswahili Methods in the School of Arts and Social Science, and currently Head of Department Geography, Environment and Development Studies, Bomet University College. She holds a PhD in Education Communication and Technology from Moi University, a Master Degree in Curriculum Instruction and Educational Media (Kiswahili Methods) from Moi University and a Bachelor of Education Degree (Kiswahili/CRE) from Kenyatta University. Dr Anyonje has worked with TSC from 1990 to 2021 and served in schools like Kivaywa Boys, Shikunga Secondary, Chwele Girls’, Bungoma Muslim and most recently Lugari Diploma Teachers Training College, where she is the pioneer Teaching Practice Coordinator. Dr. James O. Owino is a Geography Lecturer in the School of Arts and Social Sciences Department of Geography, Environment and Development Studies, Bomet University College. Dr Wanyonyi Mulalu is a Linguist with research interest in morphosyntax of Bantu languages. Currently he is a Lecturer of Kiswahili in the Department of Arts, Governance and Communication Studies, Bomet University College. Dr. Kariuki Joseph Gakuo has a Bachelor of education (Bed) Arts (Honors), in Kiswahili, Philosophy & Religious studies from Moi University. His graduate training was from the same University where he obtained his Master of Philosophy in Kiswahili. He later completed his Ph.D. in Kiswahili in Kenyatta University, where his research focus was on “Changamoto Zinazokumba Ufasiri na Uhakiki wa Ushairi wa Kiswahili Miongoni mwa Wanafunzi wa Sekondari Nchini Kenya” a case study of Trans Nzoia and Mombasa County.Kariuki is a Senior Lecturer in Bomet University in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences in the Department Art, Governance and Communication Studies. Prior to this, he has been a lecturer in Kenyatta University in the Department of Kiswahili and African Languages for eleven years. He has been a long serving high school teacher (20 years) rising all the way to position of Senior Principal head Teacher with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), before joining University as a part time and later full-time member of academic staff. Dr. Obala Musumba is a lecturer of Literature and Theatre Arts at The School of Arts and Social Sciences at Bomet University College.
